Yes. They were racist. I remember watching a show. I don't remember what it was called but it was EXTREMELY Racist. They were talking about Color v.s. White and they were insulting people. It was... rude.

If the kids are offended, don't watch it. It's as simple as that...

The mascot has nothing to do with the tribe. (Well maybe it does... but just listen up). Maybe the person inside the costume is part of a tribe. He doesn't mind it. Why else would he have been in the costume? For fun, to make a fool of himself? No.

So? The dances could be messed up at times. Doesn't always mean that they are making a fool out of other African Americans or whatever the dancer is representing. You have to think. The dance could have been done wrong. You never know. They may have messed up on something

The picture on the field, of an African American (or whatever the tribe may be), you have to realize, the team doesn't find it offensive. Others don't find it offensive. Some may find it offensive, but what is it to them? They have not been in the tribe, why complain. Your just making a fool out of yourself...

Thats exactly what I mean. It makes no reason to just RANDOMLY start calling out offensive mascots when it's been like 80 years later. Like, come on people...

I bet you 84% of the world isn't offended by the mascots. 84% is tons.

Fisher, look up the Cleveland Indians. It's their name, and what they look like. They look no-how offensive to what I see them as....

You know what? I bet she cried... Cried TEARS OF JOY! She was so "happy" when she saw her mascot being cheered. 'Nuff Said...

Some Indians aren't offended.... Ever think of how the Indians might feel if they are being represented in a GOOD way? The Indians did things their way, and we do things our way.

Don't get me started. Kids love the cartoonish features. That's what makes kids fond of their mascots they are representing. "Cartoonish" character-like mascots wont offend people. Ever watch TV? There are some REALLY OFFENSIVE people on them (Cartoon wise) but people still laugh their pants off...

How can mascots be offended? Some mascots show how "True Warriors" they were back then. (Depending on what mascot). The mascots can bring back good memories from which they were back then. Whether they were good or bad. People still think of them as Roll Models.

I think school mascots should be allowed and aren't disrespectful because many of the mascots have been here for a long while, and why complain about them now?
